The Ball family has been all over the media these past months and it doesn’t look like they will be going away anytime soon. After the eldest brother Lonzo made it into the NBA, everyone wanted to see if his younger brothers LiAngelo and Lamelo had it in them to become NBA players as well. LiAngelo began his college career at UCLA this most recent semester and it looked like it would be an interesting season, but after a trip to China ended with LiAngelo and two other UCLA players being arrested for stealing, his NCAA career came to an end.
Lavar Ball decided to pull LiAngelo out of UCLA and Lamelo out of high school. Lavar believed the next big step for their family would be to send the two youngest brothers to Lithuania to play professional basketball for Vytautas Prienai. With both brothers jersey’s selling out in less than a day, it is obvious that the Ball brothers have the support of their fans. They have already played multiple games in Lithuania and have been out classing the competition in their games in the Big Baller Brand Challenge. But in their pro debut, both brothers ran out of luck and couldn’t score a point. They made progress in their second pro game with Gelo scoring 20 and Melo scoring 13. LiAngelo is 19 years old while LaMelo is only 16 years old. With such a long road ahead, the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (Lithuanian Basketball League) can really help them become amazing basketball players.
