With Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement providing a community in which students can embrace their passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, the club offers opportunities for students to get insight on what their possible career choice holds.

When asked what sets MESA apart from other clubs and organizations at SGHS, Jason Majano stated that MESA is different from most clubs because “we do a lot of hands-on activities; like building robots, the Egg Drop, and things like that. It’s also nice to be around people that like STEM as much as I do.” The Egg Drop is an experiment in which students come up with the perfect structure to protect an egg from cracking at any height of a fall, with its purpose being to allow participants to comprehend momentum.
