South Gate High School boys’ soccer team has been working hard for some time now, and they proved this with their victory against South East. Although in the first half South East scored a goal, South Gate caught up in an impressive 4-1 win in the second half. SGHS senior Danny Elizarraraz scored their first goal, followed by Freshman Allan Zaldivar. Senior Mark Mendoza then scored an impressive goal, and Allan shortly followed with the final score of the game. The boys’ soccer team has now moved up in the rankings; National #97, State #33, and LA city section #3.   

    The South Gate Rams basketball team won Friday’s home game against rival school South East by a score of 67-55. With the win, South Gate upgrades its record to 8-8 on their season.
