The Getty Center has decorated its Center Garden with lights that are breathtaking. Not only is the garden decorated to match the holiday season, there are galleries that show what people used to eat during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance era during the holidays. The West Pavilion has Japanese photography and royal tapestries that belonged to Louis XIV. The event is solely on Saturdays and it starts at 5:30 PM and ends at 9 PM. The scenery is beautiful to photography because the garden is full of illuminated trees and dangling snowflakes. The entrance of the Getty does not charge admission but it does charge $10 for parking after 5 PM and $15 before 5 PM. Although the lights are turned on at 5:30 PM, one can arrive earlier to visit the galleries full of inspiring paintings, furniture, photographs, and the many other objects the Getty contains. The Getty is located in 1200 Getty Center Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90049. It is approximately 40 minutes from South Gate, CA.
