Cheerleading is a physical activity and a competitive sport. Cheerleading involves jumps, cheers, and stunting to direct spectators of events to cheer on sports teams at games or to participate in competitions.
Junior, Marilyn Nieto, joined the cheer team last year and began at the J.V. level. She is currently positioned as a flyer. Her favorite stunt is called “the twist cradle and the lib and pull scorpion”. It took months of practice and patience but after a lot of hard work, she was able to perform it. One of her proudest memories this year was attending Nationals in Las Vegas. She explains, “it was a once in a live time experience”.
