South Gate High School’s Yearbook staff faced off against the Leadership staff in a game of basketball. These two groups are constantly involved with school activities and take pride in their accomplishments. They decided a basketball game would be a great way to address the intense competition that exists between them.
This game of basketball was held in the gym during lunch on Friday, September 18. Though it was only Yearbook and Leadership staff playing, there was nonetheless a great turnout in the stands. During the game, competitive jibes were chanted such as “Jr. Ball”. Yearbook was responsible for this little taunt since Leadership had to cancel Jr. Ball. As the game progressed, Leadership took the lead, but Yearbook was quick to recover. Ultimately, it was Yearbook that took the win with a score of 6 to 4.
